What is a Basic Electronics Technician?
Electronics technicians help design, develop, test, install, and repair electronic equipment such as communication equipment, medical monitoring devices, navigational equipment, and computers. Electronics technicians may also work as sales workers or field representatives for manufacturers or wholesalers giving advice on the complex equipment. There are over 280 Electronics Technician job openings in Oklahoma, averaging over $20* per hour. Guess what!?! You can get training for those jobs right here at Tri County Tech!
The Basic Electronics Technician program offers a sequence of courses (270 hours total) which are designed to prepare individuals for employment in various manufacturing environments. This course includes face-to-face instruction and significant amounts of lab and hands-on experiences. While individuals are encouraged to complete the entire sequence of courses (listed below), a course may be taken as an individual stand-alone course with prior instructor approval.
