Program Overview

Graphic design is the process of visual communication and problem-solving through the use of design elements such as typography, graphics, and images. A designer’s work demands creativity, up-to-date knowledge of industry software, and a professional approach to time, cost, and deadlines. This entry-level course will cover basic design concepts in color theory, typography, and layout. We will also explore elements of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and create real-world projects to enhance your graphic design portfolio.

This course will prepare you to take the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) certification exam, “Print and Digital Media Publication Using Adobe InDesign.” The Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) certification allows you to demonstrate proficiency in Adobe digital communications tools.
