Individuals with kitchen and baking training are in high demand!
Enroll in our in-depth baking and pastry class and join the fast-paced food service industry with career opportunities at restaurants, bakeries, hotels, casinos, catering, and large scale food service providers. This eight-week program gives students the opportunity to learn in both a classroom and hands-on setting. They will learn how to work in a commercial kitchen, utilizing proper safety and sanitation while building an understanding of basic baking concepts including mixing methods and ingredient functions.
Students will also have an exciting opportunity to complete on-the-job training at The Mercantile in Pawhuska during the last three weeks of the program. They will gain additional real-world experience and be further prepared for a baking and pastry career.

Accuplacer testing is required for all students applying for Fast Track programs. Testing is done every Tuesday and Thursday on a walk-in basis starting at 8:00 am. No tests will begin after 2:00 pm. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for high school students, which is payable at time of testing (cash, money order, check MasterCard, or VISA). There is no charge if retesting is required.
