Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

Course Description

A Certified Medication Aide is a Certified Nurse Aide that is allowed to perform the administration of medication in the following settings: long-term care facilities, facilities for the developmentally disabled, residential care facilities, and adult day care facilities.

Students must provide a copy of their current Certified Nurse Aide certification card in LTC, HH, or DDCA issued by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or GED, and be licensed and currently employed as a CNA for the past six months. Results of a current (within the last 12 months) TB skin test are required at the time of enrollment. Registration must be completed in person at the main office.
