Disaster Preparedness

Course Description

If a disaster strikes in your community, you might not have access to food, water, or electricity for several days. Unfortunately, about half of adults in the United States do not have the resources and plans in place for a possible emergency.

In this class, we will discuss the various natural and man made disasters and the threats that each causes. Understanding the threats and then making the proper preparations to reduce or eliminate those threats will be the core of this class. We will discuss how to assess the situation and modify your plan. This class is for everyone! This isn’t for the “Zombie Apocalypse;” this class is based on reality and approaches disasters with a logical, systematic method of dealing with those disasters.
