Program Overview

The Applied Welding Technology program prepares you for a wide variety of career choices. A welding career can take you all over the world. Students will receive training on various welding techniques and procedures such as arc welding, oxyacetylene cutting, and gas metal and tungsten arc welding. Skills attained include shop organization, blueprint reading, and training for possible certification in Stick, TIG, and MIG welding. This hands-on curriculum is designed to teach you skills necessary to pass Oklahoma state code tests, most major company code tests for TIG and MIG, and stick pipe welding. If you have any interest in designing projects, have satisfactory vision and manual dexterity, and have a desire to work with your hands, then this program is a great fit for you.

Program Length

  • Applied Welding Technology Diploma (HS or Adult) – 960 hours
  • Applied Welding Techniques Flex Program for Working Adults – 450 hours


  • Monday through Friday classes. Full day scheduling.
  • Two Saturdays per month 6 hours each
