Program Overview

The Pre-Engineering program is designed to introduce students to engineering careers. The Project Lead the Way© curriculum combines higher-level math and science courses with a sequence of engineering courses to better prepare students for college. Through projects, students work in teams to research, design, and construct solutions to authentic engineering problems. Pre-Engineering courses include Introduction to Engineering Design and Principles of Engineering as well as foundation courses and specialty courses in the following areas: Aerospace Engineering, Digital Electronics, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Civil Engineering and Architecture. Engineering Design and Development is the capstone course where students can develop their own invention or innovation and defend their project to a panel of professionals for review and feedback.
