Students interested in beginning their career in the healthcare industry are the ideal candidates for this one-year program. The Pre-Nursing program has been created in cooperation with medical professionals to educate students through actual clinical experiences while training to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in long-term care and home health. Students will train for and take the state certification exam necessary for entry-level employment as a CNA. Anatomy and physiology for high school science credit is an important part of the curriculum. Included in the program is the study of medical terminology, infection control, medical law and ethics, vital signs, CPR, first aid, and employability skills. Students will be prepared to go to advanced training upon graduation.

Pre-Nursing Diploma (HS) – 480 hours (in two consecutive semesters)
Monday through Friday classes. Half day scheduling.
