Program Overview

Our one-year Teacher Prep program offers students an engaging, active, and practical introduction to careers in education. Students will explore human growth and development, instructional methods, and classroom management.

They will also gain field experience through an 8-week internship for hands on lesson planning and interaction with students in a classroom environment.

Students will take an Education Fundamentals assessment, the Praxis ParaPro, and the OGET exam which will allow them to begin working immediately in a classroom setting or give them an early advantage for acceptance into a college education program. The Teacher Prep program is a part of the Educators Rising student organization.
