TCT Names Downtown Kiwanis Club April Students of the Month

Tri County Tech students Angelique Morton and April Morgan were named the Downtown Kiwanis Club April Students of the Month.

Angelique Morton is a junior at Dewey High School and is in the Computer Repair and Networking program at Tri County Tech. According to her instructor, Jeannette Slater, Morton is “a hard working, conscientious student [who] is always willing to help others.” She is a member of Business Professionals of America and has a near perfect GPA. She is also actively involved with her community, volunteering at First Wesleyan, with Tri County Tech’s recruitment fair, at Concern, and The Salvation Army. Morton always helps friends and past teachers with their computers. Morton has been accepted into the Army and wants to make a difference in the world with her enlistment. She enjoys reading and just recently finished the entire “Morganville Vampires” series.

April Morgan is an adult student in the Cosmetology program at Tri County Tech. According to her instructor, Lisa Meyer, Morgan has a strong compassion to help others and an unmatched determination and focus towards her studies. She has a near perfect GPA and strives to excel in the field of Cosmetology. She plans to work in a salon after graduation to build her skills and continue to learn everything she can about every service with the big goal of one day opening her own salon. Morgan works hard to stay connected to her community and has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club to help do hair and makeup at the Ladies Night Out event.
