Tri County Tech student Gerald Gray is a breathing example of breaking traditions. Gray, a high school senior at Bartlesville High School, is currently enrolled in the Pre-Nursing Program.
Being the only male in the program, Gray has a unique first experience of the nursing world and understands that this may be foreshadowing what his career could look like. Gray chose the Pre-Nursing Program because of his love of learning, “My favorite part is learning all the new things and seeing how the knowledge can help people,” Gray said.
Outside of the Pre-Nursing Program, Gray is heavily involved in sports at his high school. He is a starting wide receiver for the Bartlesville Bruins and a short distance sprinter for the track team. Being in nursing, Gray understands the importance of being healthy both mentally and physically. When he is not on the field or in the classroom, Gray is working at the local RibCrib. Gray is also involved in the National Society of High School Scholars, an organization that encourages Gray to push his academic limits, helping to elevate him to new heights. After graduation, Gray plans to continue his education at Southwestern where he will major in Biology.
