What is a Basic Electronics Technician?

Electronics technicians help design, develop, test, install, and repair electronic equipment such as communication equipment, medical monitoring devices, navigational equipment, and computers. Electronics technicians may also work as sales workers or field representatives for manufacturers or wholesalers giving advice on the complex equipment. The Basic Electronics Technician program offers a sequence of courses which are designed to prepare individuals for employment in various manufacturing environments. This course includes face-to-face instruction and significant amounts of lab and hands-on experiences.
