Precision Machining Operations

Program Overview

Manipulate matter to the finest detail! In Tri County Tech’s Precision Machining Operations program, you will learn the proper techniques to become a certified, career-ready machinist. Gain knowledge of essential machine tools like computer-controlled and manual mills & lathes, drill presses, grinders, and using standard metalworking hand tools. You will learn to read blueprints, quality control, metal properties, and heat treatment of machine-ready metals. You will train to program, set-up, and operate computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines.

Financial Assistance


Financial assistance is available through the Tri County Tech Foundation for Full Time & Flex programs. After you are accepted into a program, you will receive a financial assistance application. The form must be filled out and turned in with the most recent two months of pay stubs for every working member of your household.

Our main goal for financial assistance at Tri County Tech is to assist financially disadvantaged students who would be unable to get the education they deserve. Assistance consists of grants, scholarships, and employment. An individual might participate in one or more resources, depending upon eligibility and need.

We do not accept funds from FAFSA or PELL.
