The road to your license starts here!
Enrolling in a driver’s education program is your first step to learning how to safely operate a motor vehicle on the road. Classroom instructions will cover:
- Pre-drive safety and inspections
- Safe vehicle operation
- Hazardous driving conditions
- The dangers and consequences of illegal substances.
This course will also explain the various types of insurance coverage available and the legal aspect of insurance coverage. The required six hours of drive time can be scheduled individually with each student based upon the instructor’s schedule. These six hours will cover driving on city streets, county roads, state highways, and in construction zones. Students must be 15 at the time of class and scheduled drive time.
Enrollment must be done in person at the Tri County Tech Main Office.
