Great Place to Work® 2018

Tri County Tech Named One of the Country’s Best Small and Medium Workplaces

Bartlesville, OK – Great Place to Work and FORTUNE have honored Tri County Tech as one of the 2018 Best Small & Medium Workplaces. The ranking considered more than 112,000 employee surveys from small and medium-sized companies. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 50 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. Tri County Tech took the 46th spot on the list.

Being named to Fortune’s top places to work is an amazing honor for our staff and students. We set a goal in 2008 to be named as one of the top places to work in the United States by 2020, and this year marks our 3rd year on the Small Workplaces list and 4th year on the Great Place to Work lists. I could not be happier for Tri County Tech and the communities we serve.
– Superintendent and CEO, Lindel Fields

Tri County Tech is the only public school in the United States to be named to Fortune’s Small and Medium Great Place to Work List. Additionally, Tri County Tech is one of only two organizations in Oklahoma to be named on the list. The article can be viewed here.

The Best Small & Medium Workplaces stand out for excelling in the industry’s rapidly-changing marketplace. Tri County Tech is committed to forward-thinking growth and recently expanded their footprint to develop a Leadership Retreat Center with the purchase of Jarrett Farm. Tri County Tech also established a 6-week paid parental leave policy covering adoptive parents as well as biological parents. Bold actions like these paired with the already extensive benefits list such as free doctor calls, a $500 monthly stipend for health insurance, over 20 paid holidays, half-price daycare, and innovative bonus and pension options continue to make Tri County Tech a great place to work.

“When it comes to revenue growth and innovation, the 2018 Best Small & Medium Workplaces continue to outperform their peers making these companies more competitive and helping them secure their position in the marketplace,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “What these companies do differently than their peers is that they offer a great workplace for all employees, regardless of role or personal traits.”

The Best Small and Medium Workplaces is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based upon employee survey feedback from Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations.
