Lydia Snyder honored for more than 20 years of impact in dental hygiene education
Tri County Tech is proud to share that Lydia Snyder has been named the recipient of the Outstanding Full-Time Faculty Award for the year by the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. This prestigious recognition highlights her exceptional contributions to education and her lasting impact on the dental profession.
Since 2002, Snyder has been a foundational leader at the College of Dentistry's first distance-learning site in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Her commitment to education and clinical excellence is reflected in the more than 220 graduates she has mentored throughout her teaching career.
Snyder was recognized not only for her excellence in the classroom but also for a lifetime of dedication to advancing her profession. Colleagues and leaders across the field praised her leadership, service, and the meaningful impact she has made on students and the broader dental community.
“We are incredibly proud of Lydia and this well-deserved recognition,” said Dr. Tammie Strobel, Superintendent and CEO of Tri County Tech. “Her passion for teaching and her dedication to student success reflect the very best of Tri County Tech. Her influence extends far beyond the classroom and into the future of the profession.”
At Tri County Tech, Snyder is known for preparing students with the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to succeed. Her work continues to strengthen both the local workforce and the future of dental healthcare.
