Program Overview

Get a head start on a healthcare career by learning real patient-care skills.

The Nursing Assistant program allows you to put your best foot forward into a rewarding healthcare career. The one-year program has been developed, in cooperation with medical professionals, to educate students with clinical experiences. Students receive hands-on training in our newly renovated facility, and develop the skills needed to assist nurses and care for patients in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. The program focuses on the study of medical terminology, infection control, medical law and ethics, vital signs, CPR, first aid, and employability skills.

Upon the completion of the program, students will be qualified to take the state certification exam necessary for entry-level employment as a CNA.  Upon completion, you may be eligible to complete our Nursing Bridge program as a High School Senior.

This Program Is Perfect For Students Who:

  • Enjoy helping and caring for others
  • Are interested in healthcare or nursing careers
  • Want hands-on experience in a medical setting
  • Are responsible, patient, and compassionate
  • Want to begin their healthcare journey while still in high school

“After graduating from the Nursing Assistant program, I went on to the Practical Nursing program. From the clinical programs to simulation labs to discussions, you learn everything you need to know to grow as a future nurse and person. Programs like Tri County Tech will leave a lasting impact on you as a person, and as a future employee.”
