Tri County Tech programs are FREE to high school students in Nowata, Osage, and Washington county, where they can earn industry certifications, explore career passions, and even earn up to 40 hours of college credit. How to Apply

Early in the spring semester, we visit our partner high schools and tell homeschool groups that our application season is open. We work closely with school counselors and spend time in classrooms talking to students about our programs. We help over 500 students with their applications to Tri County Tech.

Enrollment Requirements

  • Application
  • Transcript: provided by the student’s home school
  • Attendance: record provided by the student’s home school

The easy online application should take about 20 minutes. Students enter contact information and guardian information and select two programs they would like to attend. They’ll also answer three questions about the programs to ensure their program choices are a great fit.

The student’s home school counselor will provide us with the student’s transcripts, and we’ll use the application and transcript to score☨ students for admission. Students must achieve at least 50% of the possible points to be considered for enrollment. If students miss application day at their high school, they can reach out to their counselor or us!

By the end of April, application status updates (“accepted,” “waitlist,” & “try again next year”) are sent to students. Accepted students will be sent enrollment finalization documents they must return to secure their spot in the program. A lot can happen between April and August! We’ll continue to receive new applications and move students from the waitlist to accepted as spots open.

Students and parents are more than welcome to make appointments to chat with us at Tri County Tech or schedule a Zoom call. We’re here to help!
