Our employment benefits offered to full-time employees:
Tri County Tech Leave Benefits
One day per contract month cumulative to 70 days. Sick leave may be taken in full, half-day, or hourly increments.
10 and 11-month employees are allowed five (5) days of flex leave each year. Flex leave may be taken in full day or half-day increments.
All full-time employees are allowed three (3) days of bereavement leave each year. An employee may use this leave upon the death of an immediate family member. Bereavement leave may be taken in full-day or half-day increments.
May attend professional development activities with the approval of a Supervisor.
12 month employees accrue:
- 1-5 years = 6.7 hours per month (10 days; 2.5 days per quarter)
- 6-15 years = 10 hours per month (15 days; 3.75 days per quarter)
- 16+ years = 13.34 hours per month (20 days; 5 days per quarter)
11 month employees accrue:
24 Holidays per year. The number of days may vary from year to year.
Benefits of Employment at Tri County Tech
TCT will pay $615.90 per month toward the employee health insurance premium as a fringe benefit each year. Employees who elect premiums less than $500.00 are permitted to apply the remaining balance towards another benefit-dependent medical, vision, dental coverage, Health Savings Account (if enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan), or cash.
Employees who elect insurance premiums over $615.90 will be responsible for the overage. Employees who are covered by an ACA-approved group medical plan (other than that offered by Tri County Tech), have the option to receive a salary in lieu of the $500.00 per month benefit.
Employees who work less than a full-year will have benefits prorated, where applicable. This will be discussed with each employee when he or she completes the New Employee Orientation.
Dental & Vision Insurance
Employees and immediate family members are eligible to participate in the dental and vision plans available through Oklahoma State and Education Employees Group Insurance Board.
Section 125 Benefit Plan
Out of pocket medical, dental, vision, and dependent daycare expenses may be deducted and paid for with pre-tax dollars.
Tri County Technology Center will pay the premium for long-term disability insurance which will provide the employee with 40% of his/her basic month earnings after 90 consecutive days of disability. The employee may choose a buy-up option that will provide 60% of his/her basic monthly earning. Short-term disability coverage is available at the employee’s expense.
Employees and immediate family members are eligible to participate in the life insurance plans available through Oklahoma State and Education Employees Group Insurance Board and various vendors.
All employees are covered by Worker’s Compensation insurance.
Teacher Retirement (approximately 7% of your salary) is paid in full by the District.
Free/reduced tuition may be available for TCT employees, board members, spouses, and dependents.
Educational Assistance Plan
The Educational Assistance Plan provides reimbursement at the rate of $1,500 per fiscal year for undergraduate college courses and $2,500 per fiscal year towards a graduate degree in a relevant field or content area in which the employee is currently employed.
Savings Plan 403B
The Board of Education provides employer-sponsored savings plan to encourage employees to save for the future. The employer match is dependent upon the availability of funds and is at the discretion of the Board. If there is a match the amount will be determined by the Board annually for the ensuing fiscal year.
Employee Assistance Program
Tri County Tech provides an assistance program for employees and family members living within the home. The program will provide initial assistance with such things as work stress, parenting challenges, dealing with anxiety and depression, anger control, alcohol/drug abuse, and dealing with grief or loss, at no cost to the employee.
Employees receive 1/2 off tuition from the Child Development Center

Parental Leave Policy
Tri County Tech is committed to supporting the work-life balance for new parents. The purpose of paid parental leave is to enable the employee to care for and bond with a newborn or a newly adopted child. This policy will run concurrently with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave, as applicable, and applies to births or adoptions.
All new parents, adoptive or biological, may request up to six 6 weeks paid time off following the adoption or birth of a child (“Qualifying Event”). Employees must take paid parental leave in one continuous period of leave immediately following the birth/adoption of a child. Any unused paid parental leave will be forfeited.
