Program Overview
Train for exciting careers protecting communities and saving lives.
The Firefighter/EMT program prepares students for exciting careers in emergency response and public safety. Through hands-on training, students learn firefighting techniques, emergency medical care, rescue operations, and disaster response. Students practice real-world scenarios while developing the teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills used by first responders every day.
First responders are always in demand, and this program gives students an early start on careers in firefighting and emergency medical services. Students are able to test for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification once they turn 18, giving them the opportunity to begin their career in emergency medical services soon after graduation.
*Firefighter/EMT program is a one-year, high school senior preferred program.
