Program Overview

Tri County Tech’s Accounting program provides adult students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in modern accounting environments. Bookkeepers are one of the most critical positions within any organization. Tri County Tech’s Accounting program provides training in financial accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and software applications allowing individuals to become Full-Charge Bookkeepers. Students learn generally accepted procedures for double entry bookkeeping and then apply them in various automated applications. Students will learn how to produce and interpret financial statements, maintenance of ledgers, maintenance of inventory, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, billing data entry, and maintenance of accounting files in general.

A computer with Internet access is required due to the blended learning environment for this program. Computer labs are available at Tri County Tech from 8:00am – 8:30pm, Monday through Thursday, and 8:00am – 4:00pm on Fridays.
