Accounting

Program Overview

Tri County Tech’s Accounting program provides adult students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in modern accounting environments. Bookkeepers are one of the most critical positions within any organization. Tri County Tech’s Accounting program provides training in financial accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and software applications allowing individuals to become Full-Charge Bookkeepers. Students learn generally accepted procedures for double entry bookkeeping and then apply them in various automated applications. Students will learn how to produce and interpret financial statements, maintenance of ledgers, maintenance of inventory, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, billing data entry, and maintenance of accounting files in general.

A computer with Internet access is required due to the blended learning environment for this program.

“Coming to Tri County has been a very enriching experience.” – Toni S.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available through the Tri County Tech Foundation for Full Time & Flex programs. After you are accepted into a program, you will receive a financial assistance application. The form must be filled out and turned in with the most recent two months of pay stubs for every working member of your household.

Our main goal for financial assistance at Tri County Tech is to assist financially disadvantaged students who would be unable to get the education they deserve. Assistance consists of grants, scholarships, and employment. An individual might participate in one or more resources, depending upon eligibility and need.

We do not accept funds from FAFSA or PELL.
