Nursing homes, hospitals, adult daycare centers, personal homes, and assisted living facilities all require nursing aides to act as a helpful liaison between the RN or LPN and the patient.

Application Process | 200 Points Possible
Steps One & Two must be completed by October 9, 2020.
Step One: Application & Assessment | 100 Points
a) Apply online or in-person at Tri County Tech.
b) Complete the Accuplacer assessment at the Tri County Tech Assessment Center:

Assessment walk-ins are accepted every Tuesday or Thursday between 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
Cost: $20.00 (cash, check, or charge)
65 Questions (20 Reading, 20 Arithmetic, 25 Writing)
No Time Limit
Scores within previous 12 months accepted
ACT within the previous 12 months may be substituted
Students may reassess to improve scores, the first reassessment is free, any additional attempts are $10.00
The Accuplacer assessment practice site is available for free (use next-gen reading, arithmetic, and writing)
c) Applicants will be asked to compile a packet of information which includes:
Official high school transcript or GED scores
Official college transcripts (if applicable)
3 Letters of Recommendation
Evidence of Status Form (will be provided): Must be signed and notarized along with a supporting document
Proof of CNA Certification: To be accepted into the LPN program, candidates must have a valid CNA certification
Step Two: Applicant Packet | 40 Points
You will need to compile a packet of information which includes:
Official high school transcript
Official college transcript (if applicable)
Three letters of reccommendation
Evidence of status form (will be provided)
Documantation of previous medical experience
Step Three: Interview | 60 Points
The top 30-35 applicants, based on assessment and packet points, will receive an email and/or letter asking them to schedule an interview with a panel at Tri County Tech. The interview consists of both oral and written components.
