shaping minds

Extending the reach of Tri County Tech, one student at a time.

The Tri County Tech Foundation assists in-need and qualifying students in three critical areas: Tuition Assistance, Emergency Aid, and Food Assistance. Our mission is to ensure no student is denied an education due to the lack of funds. The Foundation also provides students with emergency aid and food assistance when unforeseen financial emergencies compromise attendance and program completion. For example, if our students are hungry, cannot afford fuel for their car, or concentrate because they have a toothache, these everyday life barriers can potentially derail their ability to graduate. We have assisted students with groceries, fuel, dental work, and eyeglasses through our emergency assistance program. Most of the Tri County Tech Foundation recipients are individuals with no other form of financial assistance. Tri County Tech educators believe wholeheartedly in the life-changing opportunities they provide – so much that every full-time employee donates to the Foundation.

The Tri County Tech Endowment Fund Inc., DBA Tri County Tech Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, Tax I.D. #73-1192143.

our history

In 1969, three short years after the establishment of Tri County Vocational School, District #1, the Tri County Vo-Tech Foundation was established. Initially, the Foundation focused on providing funds to students enrolling in the Nursing Education program.

Over the years, The Tri County Tech Foundation has evolved to include a much larger student population. Foundation assistance is available to students currently enrolled in the majority of our Full-Time & Flex classes. We assist in-need and qualifying students in three critical areas: Tuition Assistance, Emergency Aid, and Food Assistance.

Today, the Tri County Tech Foundation has a phenomenal commitment from TCT staff members, with 100% of TCT staff contributing over $60,000 annually to the Foundation. This internal commitment demonstrates the strong belief in the good that the Foundation is doing. Among staff members, this commitment is seen as providing a better future for generations to come.

“I’m finally able to give my kids the life they deserve. We don’t have to struggle for the basics anymore, and the best part is, I’m doing something that matters. Helping others every day.”

– Amanda | Foundation Recipient

our impact

Our scholarships help people like Amanda, a mother of two who was struggling to find her way. Amanda knew she wanted to help others, set a positive example for her kids, and create a better life for her family.

“I was stuck in a cycle of low-paying jobs and feeling like I wasn’t doing enough for my children,” she shared. “I wanted more for them, and for myself, but I didn’t know how to get there.”

With the support of the Tri County Tech Foundation, Amanda enrolled in the Medical Assisting program. As a Foundation recipient, she completed the program without tuition debt. Today, Amanda has a rewarding career that allows her to support her family and show her children that hard work and perseverance pays off.

Tri County Tech educators and board members believe wholeheartedly in the life-changing opportunities they provide – so much that every full-time employee donates to the Foundation. Tri County Tech has the right programs and educators to provide life-changing learning opportunities to more students like Amanda in our communities.
