Start your healthcare career as a CNA in just a few short weeks! Nurse Aide Certification is required prior to enrolling in the Practical Nursing program. As a certified nursing assistant, you will be able to work in various environments. Nursing homes, hospitals, adult daycare centers, personal homes, and assisted living facilities all require nursing aides to act as a helpful liaison between the RN or LPN and the patient.
Program Overview
Practical Nursing prepares adult students for an exciting career as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), certified nurse aide, or many health-related careers. In this program, students learn practical nursing skills through classroom theory and clinical application. Knowledge and skills learned in the classroom are applied in clinical settings such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, long-term care facilities, physician offices, hospice, and home health care settings.

Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the National Council of State Boards Licensing Exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. The program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available through the Tri County Tech Foundation for Full Time & Flex programs, as well as some Fast Track programs. After you are accepted into a program, you will receive a financial assistance application. The form must be filled out and turned in with the most recent two months of pay stubs for every working member of your household.
Our main goal for financial assistance at Tri County Tech is to assist financially disadvantaged students who would be unable to get the education they deserve. Assistance consists of grants, scholarships, and employment. An individual might participate in one or more resources, depending upon eligibility and need.
We do not accept funds from FAFSA or PELL.
