Certified Nurse Aide | CNA

96 Hours

Start your healthcare career as a CNA in just a few short weeks! Nurse Aide Certification is required prior to enrolling in the Practical Nursing program. As a certified nursing assistant, you will be able to work in various environments. Nursing homes, hospitals, adult daycare centers, personal homes, and assisted living facilities all require nursing aides to act as a helpful liaison between the RN or LPN and the patient.

Program Overview

Practical Nursing prepares adult students for an exciting career as a licensed practical nurse (LPN). In this program, students learn practical nursing skills through classroom theory and clinical application. Knowledge and skills learned in the classroom are applied in a variety of clinical settings including: hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, long-term care facilities, physician offices, hospice, and home health care settings.

“After graduating from the Nursing Assistant program, I went on to the Practical Nursing program. From the clinical programs to simulation labs to discussions, you learn everything you need to know to grow as a future nurse and person. Programs like Tri County Tech will leave a lasting impact on you as a person, and as a future employee.”

Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the National Council of State Boards Licensing Exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. The program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
