Applied Welding Technology

Program Overview

The Applied Welding Technology program prepares you for a wide variety of career choices that can take you all over the world. Students will receive training on various welding techniques and procedures such as Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal (GMAW) & Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and oxy-fuel cutting.

Skills attained include shop organization, blueprint reading, and training for possible certification in Stick, TIG, & MIG welding. This hands-on curriculum is designed to teach the skills necessary to pass Oklahoma state code tests and most major company code tests. Welding is a craft that demands hand-eye coordination, artistry, and skill which can lead you to a rewarding career both professionally and financially.
