Program Overview

For those interested in education careers, the new one-year Teacher Prep program will be very beneficial. Career skills focusing on the various careers within the educational field will be emphasized. Students will become familiar with current topics of focus within the classroom such as communication, technology, teaching methods, problem-solving skills, and management of the learning environment. These skills will be practiced in a state-of-the-art classroom, through an internship field experience involving observations, and as direct student instruction. At the end of the program, students will take an Education Fundamentals assessment to help prepare them for the OPTE as well as a ParaPro Assessment which will qualify them to serve as a Para Professional.

Program Length

Teacher Prep Diploma (HS only) – 480 hours


Monday through Friday classes.
